Methods of Evaluation
- Shop safety test to evaluate student's safety awareness, proper tool usage.
- Evaluate three to four progress checks to assess student's idea, design issues and technical skills.
- Assess presentations and critiques for the students to summarize, integrate and critically analyze and apply concepts examined throughout the furniture making process including the initial idea development.
- Periodical and final review to evaluate student's work, including proposed designs, process sketches, photo references, and finished objects. Work will be evaluated for completion, successful material handling, and conceptual merit.
- Final critique and presentation that requires students to summarize, integrate and critically analyze and apply concepts examined throughout the process of furniture making including the initial idea development.
