In Memory of Trent Blakely
April 29, 2025
Dear Colleagues,
It is with a heavy heart that I share the sad news that one of our current students died over the weekend. While we don't yet have a great deal of information, authorities have confirmed that Trent Blakely was killed in a motorcycle accident in Campbell on Saturday.
Trent, 22, was taking classes to earn a certificate of achievement in Leadership and Social Change this spring. We understand from Trent's family that his time at °®¶¹´«Ã½ was important to him, and our Enrollment Services Division will be presenting his loved ones with an honorary certificate.
Funeral arrangements are pending. Recognizing that this is a difficult time for our students, faculty, and staff that knew Trent, please know that support services are available. For students who would like emotional support, please refer them to the Mental Health and Wellness Center. In addition, if a faculty member believes that in-class support services are needed, please don't hesitate to reach out to me and Dr. Rob Mieso, so we can assist with making the necessary arrangements. Resources for employees can also be obtained through the .
Sending thoughts and prayers to all that are impacted by this unexpected loss,
Omar
