Course Description
This intermediate-level furniture design course emphasizes a broader range of skills in design, construction, and craftsmanship.
Student Learning Outcomes
- Demonstrate intermediate woodworking skills and techniques with an emphasis on furniture and three dimensional design.
- Demonstrate and apply proper safety procedures using appropriate tools and machinery as it applies to a machine shop.
- Apply critical thinking skills and problem solving skills associated with the formal design process.
- Demonstrate through the construction of furniture a fundamental understanding of design process as it applies to furniture and three dimensional design.
