The online orientation will make you an expert on everything °®¶¹´«Ã½C!

  • The online Orientation takes approximately 45 minutes to complete and includes YouTube videos. 
  • You can complete the orientation on your smart phone, tablet, laptop or desktop.

Complete the New Student Counseling Workshop

All new students must complete the New Student Counseling Workshop. Once you are done with the workshop, you will complete an online intake form that a counselor will use to help you create your first-semester educational plan.

  • We recommend that you use Google Chrome while going through our sign-up sheets and online workshops.

How to Find your Educational Plan

Attend Pathways FYE Open House

Our Pathways First Year Experience (FYE) Open House was on May 31, 2025.

  • If you have any questions, email us at pathways@pasadena.edu, reach out on Instagram , or come to the Pathways FYE center (V100) Monday - Friday | 8am - 5pm.

Register for JAM

JAM is an orientation to college and a requirement for students who want priority registration. Incoming FYE students with priority registration, on average, register  2-3 weeks before those without priority registration. Take advantage of this great opportunity to register for the classes you want and get the classes you need!

Summer is now open.

Prepare for Registration

To prepare you for registration, we offer Pre-Registration support where you will learn how to select and register for your classes correctly.  While not required, a pre-registration workshop is strongly encouraged to help you to understand the registration process so that you will be ready when your date comes.

Middle or High School Student (Concurrent Enrollment)

I'm currently in middle school or high school and interested in taking college courses after school, on the weekend, online, or during summer.
If you are looking to take °®¶¹´«Ã½C classes at your high school during the regular school day, please visit Dual Enrollment for your next steps.

Select Your Courses

  • With your high school counselor/administrator, choose the courses you would like to take at °®¶¹´«Ã½C. Refer to the . If you are interested in meeting A-G requirements, refer to . 
  • Ask your high school counselor or administrator to complete and sign the Recommendation form, listing the specific course(s) (e.g. HIST 007A) they are giving you permission to take at °®¶¹´«Ã½C.
  • Have your parent or legal guardian sign the Recommendation form.

MEDICAL CONSENT FORM

  • If you will be under 18 years of age by the first day of class at °®¶¹´«Ã½C, you need to complete the Medical Consent form. 

Submit Your Required Forms

How to Submit your Forms & Transcripts

  1. Submit the Recommendation form
  2. Submit the Medical Consent form
  3. Submit your most recent unofficial high school transcript
  4. Please sign all required forms prior to submission
  5. During the submission process
    • Enter the student’s first and last name
    • Enter the email address used by the student to apply to °®¶¹´«Ã½C
    • Enter the student’s high school in the “Company†field.
    • Submit Documents

PROCESSING TIME

  • Make sure you have plenty of time to get your °®¶¹´«Ã½ courses selected and the permission forms signed by your high school counselors/administrators and ready to be submitted to the college.
  • Sign each form to prevent any delays
  • Completed forms and transcripts are processed generally within 2 - 3 weeks. Please be sure to submit all the recommendation form and transcript together.
  • If you are experiencing challenges with holds and/or submitting your forms, please visit one of our help centers and request to speak to an admissions clerk.
  • If you have questions regarding the program, please email outreach@pasadena.edu. (Do not submit documents to this email address)

Submit a Prerequisite Clearance Request

To use credits from your previous college to clear prerequisites for a °®¶¹´«Ã½C course, you will need to submit an online prerequisite clearance request for each class. Remember to attach your unofficial transcript and/or AP scores (when printing from your college portal, change your printer to PDF to save as an electronic copy or scan your unofficial transcript as a PDF)

Complete Education Plan Achievement

Overview

Our Short-Term Counseling Request can be used to get your Student Educational Plan. Before you submit the request, make sure you:

  • Have an electronic copy of your unofficial university transcript (or high school) to attach to your request 
  • Know which class(es) you wish to take (Example: ECON 1A)
  • After submitting your request, a counselor will email you at your °®¶¹´«Ã½C email within 4-7 business days (may take longer during peak times).
