Your Donation Makes a Difference
With the generous support from our alumni, friends, corporations, foundations—and you—we help to give ýC a “margin of excellence” that would not be possible without support above and beyond state funding.
Our Annual Support
Advancing ýC
In addition to our annual projects, The ý Foundation has conducted several successful major gift campaigns, helping to transform the campus and giving ýC one of the most beautiful and functional community college campuses in the country.

Freeman Center
The Robert G. Freeman Center for Career and Completion (Freeman Career Center) was established through a generous donation from Molly Munger and Steve English, local philanthropists and supporters of ýC. The center is named for Munger's stepfather, an alumnus of the college and a contemporary of Walter Shatford, from whom ýC's Shatford Library derives its name. Dr. Freeman was a Pasadena Unified School District board member and a vocal advocate for the desegregation of Pasadena's public schools. Dr. Freeman passed away in 1975, but his legacy lives on in the lives that have been impacted by ýC and the Freeman Center.

The Center for the Arts
Our capital campaign raised funds to provide support above the voter approved construction bonds for the of New Center for the Arts Building on the ýC Campus.

Boone Sculpture Garden
Named in memory of George and Fern Boone, was made possible through the generosity of their son, Dr. George Boone. Through generous donations from Adelaide Hixon, three sculptures by world-renowned artists have been placed in the Boone Sculpture Garden.

The Galloway Plaza
The plaza in the Sculpture Garden is named Galloway Plaza, honoring local real estate developer, Bill Galloway. Mr. Galloway is also an Advisory Board member of the ý Foundation.

Jameson Foundation Amphitheater
The Jameson Foundation Amphitheater, is a major component of the Sculpture Garden.

Robinson Stadium
Robinson Stadium was completed in the summer of 1999 and used for the first time during the fall semester. The stadium provides grandstand seating for 5,400 and includes an all-weather track and a field designed for both football and soccer. Its construction was one part of a larger $22 million physical education facilities project at ýC.
